On 4/30/12 and 5/7/12 the members from HH&L were able to practice several techniques at a structure that was ready to be torn down. Over the two weeks members practiced skills such as search & rescue, wall breeching, roof ventialtion, hoseline advancement up a ladder and through a window, water applications, pump operations, overhaul and forcable entry.

A chief was called to Mifflin Street to investigate a wire down. Chief’s 58-02 & 58-03 arrived on scene to find that it was a Verizon phone line.

Vehicle Accident w/Entrapment 05/06/2012

Fire units were dispatched for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Units arrived on the scene to find two vehicles with on patient trapped. Crews from Rescue 58-50 and Rescue 21-50 assisted each other with extrication. Crews popped the door, cut the roof and also did a dash roll.

A landing zone was set up at the Pine Grove Industrial Park by Engine 58-15.

Fire units were dispatched for a report of a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Units were advised when responding that all occupants were out of the vehicle. Fire units arrived on scene to find one vehicle on its side.

Fire units were dispatched to respond to the Schuylkill Hose station to stand by for the borough of Schuylkill Haven. Haven units were on the scene of a commercial structure fire. Rescue 58-50 was requested to respond directly to the scene to assist.

Units cleared the scene and stood by for the borough.
