Fire units were dispatched to respond to the Schuylkill Hose station to stand by for the borough of Schuylkill Haven. Haven units were on the scene of a commercial structure fire. Rescue 58-50 was requested to respond directly to the scene to assist.
Units cleared the scene and stood by for the borough.

Fire units were dispatched for a reported brush fire on Sawmill Road in Washington Township that was impending on a structure. Units and personnel arrived on scene to find a large grass area in a small orchard on fire. Brush 58-40 and Tanker 58-35 started fire suppression along with personnel from Station 2. Tanker 58-37 and Brush 21-40 also assisted at the scene.

Fire were dispatched for a report of fluids on the roadway at South Tulpehocken Street and East Pottsville Street. Fire units were advised the the truck leaking the fuel was heading towards the movie theater. Units went as far as the theater and found no fluids on the roadway.

Fire units from Pine Grove Borough and Pine Grove Township were dispatched to Hike’s Hollow Road for a reported structure fire at the nursing home. Units arrived on scene to find a mulch fire.

Fire units were dispatched to Flat Hill Road in Washington Township for a reported brush fire. Units arrived on scene to a woodpile on fire and some of the surrounding area. The possible cause is that an ember from a wood burner got into the woodpile.
